The A1123 runs from Soham to St Ives blighting village life for communities along its route with the sheer volume of traffic, the number of HGVs and the consequent pollution.
Cambridgeshire County Council passed a motion in December 2020 to pursue the declassification of the A1123 and the A1421 from A to B.
The new administration at the County Council has reversed this decision and decided the road will not now be declassified.
