The Conservative Party candidate for the Mayor of Cambridgeshire will be selected at a general meeting of party members this Saturday, 21st January.
A shortlist of three candidates was announced on 14th January:
Steve Count, councillor for March North and leader of Cambridgeshire County Council.
Roger Harrison, councillor for St Neots Eaton Socon, Huntingdonshire District Council.
James Palmer, councillor for Soham North and leader of East Cambridgeshire District Council.
The meeting, commencing at 2.00 pm sharp, is at:

If you haven't done so yet, you must register for tickets at https://cambridgeshiremayoralselection.eventbrite.co.uk.
- Only Association members who have been members of the Party within the Cambridgeshire authority area for not less than three months at the time of the general meeting are entitled to vote.
- Each applicant’s standard CV form for the general meeting will be provided to attendees as they arrive.
- In order to be eligible to vote at the interviews, a member must be present for all of the interviews that take place at this stage.
- If a member arrives late, or does not stay for the whole process, then they will not be eligible to vote nor may they play any part in the proceedings.
The public election is on 4th May.
